Abstract
**Aglaonema** cultivar **Siam Aurora** is an ornamental foliage plant with high economic value; therefore, efforts to increase its genetic variability through mutation induction are essential. This study aimed to evaluate the interaction effects of Ethyl Methanesulfonate (EMS) concentration and soaking duration, determine the effects of each factor on mutation induction, and analyze the diversity of morphological traits and plant grouping patterns using multivariate analysis. The experiment was arranged in a RCBD with two factors. The first factor was EMS concentration, consisting of four levels: 0%, 0.25%, 0.50%, and 0.75%. The second factor was soaking duration, consisting of three levels: 2, 5, and 8 hours. Quantitative data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% significance level. Morphological traits were analyzed using PCA and Cluster Analysis The results showed that there was a significant interaction between EMS concentration and soaking duration on several growth parameters and morphological characteristics of *Aglaonema* cultivar Siam Aurora. Increasing EMS concentration and soaking duration enhanced morphological variation but generally reduced plant growth, particularly plant height and leaf area. PCA revealed that the first two principal components explained 61.06% of the total morphological variation. The traits contributing most to the observed variation were secondary leaf color, leaf glossiness, leaf apex shape, leaf base shape, petiole length, and the central portion of the leaf. The PCA score plot showed that the treatment combination of 0.75% EMS with an 8-hour soaking duration was clearly separated from the other treatment groups, indicating a higher level of morphological diversity. Hierarchical Cluster Analysis at a dissimilarity coefficient of 8 grouped the plants into seven major clusters, demonstrating varying levels of morphological similarity among the mutation-induced plants. Based on these findings, EMS treatment was effective in increasing the morphological diversity of Aglaonema cultivar Siam Aurora.
