Abstract
The efficiency of Hotmix asphalt production is a crucial factor in supporting the success of pavement construction projects in terms of quality, time, and cost. Therefore, the AMP as the main production facility is required to operate optimally to achieve planned capacity and minimize resource waste. This study aims to analyze the efficiency level of Hotmix asphalt production at the AMP of PT. Lancarjaya Mandiri Abadi, Tulungagung, and to identify factors affecting production performance. The research employs a quantitative descriptive method using data on theoretical and actual production capacity, Marshall test results, operational costs, and material losses, obtained through field observations, documentation, interviews, and literature review referring to the General Specifications of Bina Marga 2018 (Revision 2). The analysis was conducted by comparing actual production capacity with theoretical capacity to determine efficiency values and by calculating material losses during distribution and laying processes. The results indicate that the efficiency of the Wheel Loader is 81%, the AMP is 70.54%, and the dump truck is 92.54%. In addition, material efficiency for AC-BC mixture reaches 99.83% while AC-WC mixture achieves 98.92%. Overall, the Hotmix asphalt production performance at the AMP is categorized as good, although there remains potential for improvement, particularly in the performance of the AMP as the primary production equipment. This study contributes by providing a performance evaluation as well as technical and managerial recommendations to enhance AMP operational efficiency in a more optimal and sustainable manner. Keywords: Asphalt Mixing Plant, Hotmix Asphalt, Production Efficiency, Production Capacity, Material Losses.
