Abstract
This thesis analyzes the success of Cryptowave as a cryptocurrency news and education platform in Indonesia using the Extended DeLone and McLean Information Systems Success Model with Perceived Usefulness as a mediator. Data were collected from 495 Cryptowave users using purposive sampling and analyzed using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS 4. Of the twenty hypotheses tested, fifteen were supported, whereas five were not, including the effects of Information Quality on Actual Use, Instructor Quality on User Satisfaction, System Quality on Perceived Usefulness and Actual Use, and Perceived Usefulness on Actual Use. Instructor Quality and Learner Quality were respectively the strongest predictors of Perceived Usefulness and Actual Use, while Service Quality significantly influenced Perceived Usefulness, Actual Use, and User Satisfaction. Net Benefits were influenced by Perceived Usefulness, Actual Use, and User Satisfaction. Perceived Usefulness served as a partial mediator on four quality pathways to Net Benefits, while mediation through System Quality was not significant. The success of Cryptowave is more determined by analyst quality, user readiness, and service quality than by technical system performance.
