Abstract

Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) is one of the indicators that reflects the level of economic development of a region. This study aims to analyze the factors that affect GDP in the southern coastal region of East Java, which includes Pacitan, Trenggalek, Tulungagung, Blitar, Malang, Lumajang, Jember, and Banyuwangi districts during the 2015–2024 period. The research uses a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained from (BPS). The variables analyzed included investment, Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK), and average length of school (RLS). The analysis was carried out using panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) as the selected model. Partially, each variable has an influence on GDP according to the results of the model estimate. These findings show that increased investment, labor force participation, and RLS quality play a role in supporting economic growth in the southern coastal region of East Java. Keywords: Gross Regional Domestic Product, investment, Labor Force Participation Rate, average length of schooling, regression panel data.
