Abstract

Industrial Internship is an academic program designed to provide students with practical experience by integrating theoretical knowledge acquired during their studies with its implementation in industrial environments. This internship was conducted at PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., Tuban Plant, specifically in the RKC 4 Operation Section, which plays an essential role in the cement manufacturing process. PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. is a state-owned enterprise engaged in the cement industry and building material solutions, with a production capacity of approximately 29 million tons per year. During the internship, observations were carried out on the company's profile, organizational structure, plant layout, and operational system implemented in the RKC 4 Operation Section. In addition, the internship involved studying the cement production process, shift and non-shift working systems, as well as the implementation of occupational health and safety (OHS) practices in daily operations. The data were obtained through field observations, discussions with industrial supervisors, and the review of company documents. This Industrial Internship enhanced the understanding of the practical application of Chemical Engineering principles in the cement industry, particularly in production operations, process control, and operational management. Furthermore, the internship provided valuable industrial insight and professional experience, thereby improving students' competencies and readiness to enter the professional workforce.
