Abstract

The high level of generosity among Indonesians, which is increasingly shifting toward digital platforms, indicates a transformation in philanthropic practices. Digital philanthropy refers to donation activities carried out through the use of technology or digital platforms to facilitate the online distribution of assistance. However, this development has not yet been fully accompanied by optimal levels of technology acceptance and user trust in digital donation platforms. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing behavioral intention and use behavior toward the Kitabisa application by employing the modified Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) model with the inclusion of trust and transparency. A quantitative approach was applied through a survey of 429 respondents, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, hedonic motivation, habit, trust, and transparency significantly influence behavioral intention, while facilitating conditions and price value are not significant, and social influence shows a negative relationship. Behavioral intention also significantly influences use behavior. These findings indicate that acceptance of the Kitabisa application is influenced by perceived benefits, ease of use, positive experience, habit, trust, and transparency, and is further driven by behavioral intention.
