Abstract
The productivity of peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) in East Java Province remains relatively low due to suboptimal fertilizer application. SP-36 fertilizer plays an important role in root development, flowering, and pod formation, while KCl fertilizer enhances photosynthesis, assimilate translocation, and seed filling. This study aimed to determine the interaction effect of SP-36 and KCl fertilizer rates, as well as the individual effects of each fertilizer on the growth and yield of the Katana 1 peanut variety. The experiment was arranged in a factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with two factors: SP-36 fertilizer rates (0, 100, 200, and 300 kg ha⁻¹) and KCl fertilizer rates (0, 50, 100, and 150 kg ha⁻¹). The results showed that there was no significant interaction between SP-36 and KCl fertilizer rates on the growth and yield of peanut plants. Individually, SP-36 fertilizer significantly affected the number of non-productive gynophores, the percentage of filled and unfilled pods, seed dry weight per plant, and seed dry weight per hectare, with the application of 100 kg ha⁻¹ producing the best results for most parameters. KCl fertilizer significantly affected the percentage of filled and unfilled pods, seed dry weight per plant, seed dry weight per hectare, and 100-seed weight, with the application of 50 kg ha⁻¹ producing the best results..
