Abstract
PENGARUH SEKTOR PARIWISATA TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PENDAPATAN ASLI DAERAH (PAD) KOTA JAYAPURA Owaada Pigai1 Sishadiyati2 Program Studi Ekonomi Pembangunan, Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Pembangunan Naional”veteran Jawa Timur Owaada Pigai22011011231@student.upnjatim.ac.id1 sishadiyati.ep.@upjatim.ac.id2 ABSTRAK Sektor pariwisata merupakan salah satu sektor strategis yang mampu mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah serta menigkatkan Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD). Kota Jayapura memiliki potensi wisata yang beragam, meliputi wisata alam, wisata bahari, wisata budaya yang berpotensi memberikan kontribusi terhadap penerimaan daerah. Namun pemanfaatan potensi tersebut terhadap penerimaan daerah masih belum optimal sehingga di perlukan kajian mengenai pengaruh sektor pariwisata terhadap Pendapatan Asli Daerah Kota Jayapura. Metode penelitian yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan regresi linear berganda menggunakan data sekunder periode 2009-2024 data di peroleh dari, Dinas Pariwisata Kota Jayapura, Dinas Bapenda Kota Jayapura dan Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). Kota Jayapura. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan jumlah Objek Wisata, Jumlah Kunjungan Wisatawan, dan Jumlah Akomodasi Hotel berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD). Kota Jayapura. Nilai koefisien determinasi (adjusted R2) sebesar 0,897 menunjukkan bahwa 89,75% variasi PAD dapat dijelaskan oleh ketiga variabel tersebut. hasil temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan sektor pariwisata memiliki peran penting dalam menigkatkan kemandirian fiskal daerah. Oleh karena itu, pemerinta daerah Kota Jayapura perlu mengoptimalkan pengelolaan destinasi, menigkatkan kualitas infrastruktur, serta memperluas fasilitas akomodasi guna mendorong dan promosi wisata guna mendorong penigkatan PAD secara berkelanjutan. THE IMPACT OF THE TOURISM SECTOR ON INCREASING LOCAL REVENUE (PAD) IN JAYAPURA CITY Owaada Pigai1 Sishadiyati2 Department of Development Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, National Development University “Veteran” East Jawa Owaada Pigai22011011231@student.upnjatim.ac.id1 sishadiyati.ep.@upjatim.ac.id2 ABSTRACT The tourism sector is one of the strategic sectors capable of driving regional economic growth and increasing Local Revenue (PAD). The city of Jayapura possesses diverse tourism potential, including nature-based tourism, marine tourism, and cultural tourism, all of which have the potential to contribute to local revenue. However, the utilization of this potential to generate local revenue has not yet been optimized; therefore, a study is needed on the impact of the tourism sector on the Local Revenue of the City of Jayapura. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method employing a multiple linear regression approach using secondary data from 2009 to 2024. The data were obtained from the Jayapura City Tourism Office, the Jayapura City Revenue and Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). Jayapura City. The results indicate that, taken together, the number of tourist attractions, the number of tourist visits, and the number of hotel accommodations have a significant impact on Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD) in Jayapura City. The adjusted R² value of 0.897 indicates that 89.75% of the variation in PAD can be explained by these three variables. These findings indicate that the development of the tourism sector plays a crucial role in enhancing local fiscal autonomy. Therefore, the local government of Jayapura City needs to optimize destination management, improve infrastructure quality, and expand accommodation facilities to encourage and Tourism promotion to encourage sustainable growth in local revenue.
