Abstract
This study aims to test and compare the differences in prediction results, accuracy rates, and error rates between the Altman Z-Score, Springate, Ohlson, Zmijewski, and Grover models in predicting the potential for bankruptcy in companies whose securities have been suspended for more than six months by the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study employs a quantitative research method with a comparative approach. The study population consists of companies that have had their securities suspended for more than six months by the Indonesia Stock Exchange as of June 30, 2025, totaling 55 companies. Sampling was conducted using purposive sampling, resulting in 8 companies meeting the research criteria with an observation period from 2020 to 2024. The data used are secondary data in the form of company financial statements. Data analysis was conducted through calculations of each bankruptcy prediction model, descriptive statistical analysis, normality tests, homogeneity tests, the Kruskal-Wallis test to examine differences between models, and a confusion matrix to measure the accuracy and error rates of each model. The results indicate significant differences among the Altman Z-Score, Springate, Ohlson, Zmijewski, and Grover models in predicting bankruptcy risk for companies subject to trading suspensions exceeding six months by the Indonesia Stock Exchange, with a Kruskal-Wallis test significance level of < 0.001. The accuracy test results show that the Altman Z-Score Model has the highest accuracy rate of 70% with an error rate of 30%, followed by the Zmijewski Model at 65%, the Grover Model at 62.5%, the Ohlson Model at 57.5%, and the Springate Model at 47.5%. Thus, the Altman Z-Score Model is the most appropriate model to use for predicting the potential for bankruptcy in companies whose securities have been suspended for more than six months by the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
