Abstract

Internship (PKL) is a form of off-campus learning implementation aimed at enhancing students' competencies and skills through direct experience in the industrial world. The author carried out the internship program at PT Asia Pramulia, a manufacturing company engaged in the plastic packaging industry. During the internship, the author was assigned to develop a web application as a digital solution to address issues in recording machine attributes, which had previously been done manually using Microsoft Excel. The main problem faced by the company was the inefficiency and high potential for errors in the recording process, as it relied heavily on manual input without any validation system or data quality control. To solve this issue, the author designed and built a web-based recording system using the Laravel framework and a MySQL database. The application was developed with attention to user-friendliness, secure data management, and role-based access control. The system includes authentication features and user role management, consisting of Host, Checker, and Approver roles. A user with the Host role has access to add Checker and Approver accounts. The Checker is responsible for creating and updating machine inspection data directly in the field, while the Approver reviews the records, provides approval, and downloads them as archived documents. The development process involved requirements analysis, system design, frontend and backend implementation, and functionality testing to ensure proper system operation. The presence of this application improves the speed, accuracy, and consistency of the recording process in the workplace. In addition to contributing directly to the company, this internship experience also deepened the author's understanding of web- based system development practices that are relevant to industry needs.
