Abstract

This study aims to analyze the optimal inventory of robusta coffee raw materials at PT. Harta Mulia Blitar using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method in optimizing the inventory of robusta coffee raw materials. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with data obtained from inventory reports, purchases, and the use of robusta coffee raw materials. Data analysis techniques include ordering costs, storage costs, Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), safety stock, and reorder point (ROP). The results show that the optimal order quantity with the EOQ method is 13,945,844 kg per order with an ordering frequency of 3 times a year. In addition, the safety stock value is 747 kg and the reorder point is 4,159 kg. The application of the EOQ method produces a more efficient total inventory cost compared to the method currently used by the company. This shows that the EOQ method is more effective in controlling raw material inventory and minimizing total costs. Therefore, the company is advised to apply the EOQ method as a reference in determining optimal inventory policies to increase efficiency and ensure the smoothness of the production process.
