Abstract
Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) is a vegetable with high economic value, but limited land becomes an obstacle in its cultivation so that alternatives such as wick hydroponic systems are needed. The success of hydroponic cultivation is largely determined by the accuracy of nutrient concentration and variety selection. This study aims to obtain the interaction of AB Mix concentration and three pakcoy varieties. This study was conducted in the Outdoor Acclimatization Room of the Faculty of Agriculture, UPN “Veteran” East Java from August to October 2025. This study was conducted using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (RAL) method consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the AB Mix concentration which consists of 4 levels, namely: concentrations of 500, 1000, 1500, and 2000 ppm. The second factor is the pakcoy variety consisting of 3 types, namely: Nauli F1, Green, and Emone 26 varieties. Data were processed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results of the analysis of variance that showed an effect will be further tested using Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT 5%). The results showed no significant interaction between the two factors. However, individually, the 500 ppm concentration provided the best vegetative growth results for plant height, leaf number, leaf width, and length. The Nauli F1 variety excelled in leaf number and total fresh weight, the Green variety excelled in plant height, and Emone 26 excelled in leaf width, leaf length, and total dry weight. These findings also demonstrate that proper nutrient provision and the selection of superior varieties are crucial for increasing the efficiency and productivity of hydroponic bok choy cultivation, particularly in the wick system.
