Abstract
Purple eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is one of the important horticultural commodities in Indonesia that has high economic value. The decline in purple eggplant production including soil degradation due to excessive use of inorganic fertilizers. The productivity of purple eggplant plants can be increased by utilizing organic waste into liquid organic fertilizer. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the combination of liquid organic fertilizer concentration and goat manure dosage that had an effect on the growth and yield of purple eggplant plants. This study used a 2 factor Complete Random Design (RAL). The first factor is the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer which consists of 4 levels, namely P0: NPK (control); P1: 100 ml/L; P2: 150 ml/L; P3: 200 ml/L. The second factor is the dose of goat manure consisting of K0: soil (control); K1: 700 g.plant; K2: 900 g/plant; K3: 1.100 g/plant. The results showed that there was an interaction between the combination of NPK control and LOF concentration of 150 ml/L with a goat manure dose of 900 g/plant to produce the best results on the vegetative parameters, sweetness content, weight loss and yield index. At a single factor, the LOF concentration treatment of 150 ml/L and the goat manure dose of 900g/plant gave the best results against vegetative parameters and generative parameters.
