Abstract
Rice farming in Kempleng Village, Purwoasri District, Kediri Regency is one of the agricultural sectors that plays an important role in supporting farmers’ household income; however, it still faces challenges in the form of fluctuations in production and grain prices, which lead to income instability. This study aims to analyze the income of rice farming, its contribution to farmers’ household income, and the factors affecting rice farming income in Kempleng Village. This research employed a descriptive method with a quantitative approach through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation involving farmers as respondents. The data analysis methods used include income analysis, contribution analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that rice farming income contributes significantly to farmers’ household income, although it is also supported by income from off-farm and non-farm activities. The contribution of rice farming is categorized as moderate to high, indicating that rice farming remains the primary source of farmers’ income. Furthermore, land area, education level, farming experience, and side jobs have significant effects on farmers’ income, both partially and simultaneously. Therefore, efforts to improve production efficiency, optimize farm management, and diversify income sources are necessary to enhance farmers’ household welfare.
