Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the factors influencing the disparity of Regional Original Income (PAD) among provinces in Java Island during the 2013–2024 period, using independent variables such as Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR), and Population Size. The analysis employs a panel data regression method with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach. The results indicate that, partially, GRDP and LFPR have a positive and significant effect on PAD, while the Population Size variable shows no significant influence. These findings suggest that economic growth and increased labor participation contribute positively to regional income, whereas population growth alone does not necessarily enhance productivity or fiscal capacity. Overall, the three variables significantly affect PAD, emphasizing the importance of strengthening regional economies, improving labor quality, and managing demographic factors effectively to reduce fiscal disparities among provinces in Java Island. Keywords: Regional Original Income (PAD), GRDP, Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR), Population, Panel Data.
