Abstract
Fiscal decentralization requires local governments to enhance financial independence through the optimization of Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD). The tourism sector represents one of the strategic potentials in increasing PAD in Gresik Regency, which possesses diverse religious, natural, and cultural attractions. Although PAD has shown an upward trend, the development of tourist visits, tourism objects, and hotels/accommodations tends to fluctuate. This condition raises questions regarding the extent to which these tourism variables influence PAD. This study aims to analyze the effect of the number of tourist visits, the number of tourism objects, and the number of hotels/accommodations on the Local Own-Source Revenue of Gresik Regency. The research employs a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis. The data used are time-series data from 2010 to 2024 obtained from relevant institutions. The results indicate that the number of tourist visits has a positive but insignificant effect on PAD. The number of tourism objects has a positive and significant effect and is the most dominant variable in increasing PAD. Meanwhile, the number of hotels/accommodations has a positive but insignificant effect on PAD. These findings suggest that expanding and developing tourism destinations is more effective in increasing local revenue than merely increasing the number of visits or accommodation capacity.
