Abstract
The Miller Big Blue 600X DC Welding Generator is an essential machine that supports welding operations in industrial environments. Intensive usage causes several critical components to experience performance degradation, making the implementation of an appropriate maintenance strategy necessary to prevent unproductive downtime. This study aims to evaluate the reliability of the ELCB, V-belt, and water separator components using the two-parameter Weibull method and to provide maintenance recommendations through Logic Tree Analysis (LTA). Based on failure data analysis, reliability (R) values indicate that each component exhibits a different rate of performance degradation as operating hours increase. Reliability thresholds of R = 0.8 and R = 0.6 are used as reference limits to determine optimal replacement intervals in order to minimize the risk of failure. Furthermore, the application of LTA helps identify the main failure modes, their root causes, and their impacts on machine performance, resulting in a more efficient maintenance strategy compared to previous practices. The findings demonstrate that a reliability-centered approach combined with LTA can improve maintenance efficiency, reduce machine downtime, and enhance overall operational reliability.
