Abstract

This Practical Field Work (PKL) report outlines the UX research process and the development of an informational website for an educational game application at PT d'Topeng Kingdom Foundation. The project aims to create an optimal user experience for children under 13 using the educational game and to build a visually appealing, responsive, and informative website that meets the company's needs. Against the backdrop of rapid technological advancements, this project seeks to support education and the preservation of Indonesian culture in an interactive manner. The methodology employed includes UX research stages, which involve developing user personas, user flows, task flows, and wireframe prototyping, alongside frontend website development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the React framework. Needs analysis was conducted to identify effective elements for the application and website features. The system design phase involved creating wireframes and mockups, while the development phase focused on code implementation and feature integration. Testing ensured the functionality and responsiveness of the application and website across various devices. The project outcomes include an interactive and engaging application interface for children and a user-friendly website with intuitive navigation. Challenges such as interface adjustments for young audiences and display optimization were successfully addressed through design iterations and testing. This PKL experience provided practical insights into UX research, web development, and project management, enhancing collaboration and problem-solving skills. Future development suggestions include periodic UX evaluations, feature enrichment, and deeper integration between the application and website to boost educational effectiveness.
