Abstract
This research aims to review the potential sectors tht hve a great ability to motivate the rapid economic growth in Malang Regency.The data used in this research analysis is secondary data for the 2021-2024 period obtained from BPS Malang Regency and BPS East Java Province. The following are some of the methodolognies used in this research , among others: (1) Location Quontient; (2) Shift Share PS, PR, Ds; (3) Simple Linier Regression using Eviews 12. The results of the analysis based on the calculation of LQ the are 6 superior sector but there is no structural shift because agriculture is still the basic sector of the region. In the overlay method, there are 3 sectors which are the leading sectors in Malang Regency.The results of research using simple linear regression show that partially the leading sector has a significant influence on the amount of employment in Malang Regency.
