Abstract
One of the main diseases of vanilla plants is stem rot caused by the fungus Fusarium oxysporum. Biopesticides can be an alternative to control plant diseases. Fobio biopesticide is a biopesticide formulation containing various microorganisms as biological control agents in liquid form. This study aims to determine whether the administration of various concentrations of Fobio biopesticide is effective in suppressing vanilla stem rot disease. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications, namely K = Control, FA = 5 ml Fobio Biopesticide, FB = 7.5 ml Fobio Biopesticide, and FC = 10 ml Fobio Biopesticide. The results showed that treatment with a concentration of 7.5 ml/L was the most effective treatment to inhibit the development of vanilla stem rot disease, which was indicated by a decrease in disease intensity by 12.80% and the biopesticide effectiveness value reached 51%, which can be said to be effective. Meanwhile, for agronomic growth parameters such as the number of leaves and adventitious roots, the best plant response was obtained at a concentration of 10 ml/L. This is indicated by the average number of leaves and adventitious roots in the 10 ml/L concentration treatment of 22.56 and 15.44.
