Abstract
During the internship, the author was assigned to the hydrogenated oil processing process at Plant 4 and to the cooking oil product quality control section, namely Quality Control at the company. During the internship at PT. Sari Mas Permai, problem-solving at Plant 4 involved calculating the mass balance of the hydrogenation reactor, calculating the nickel catalyst concentration for the nickel catalyst dissolution tank, and calculating the H2 gas set point. These specific tasks were assigned to resolve issues that had previously made the hydrogenated oil processing process less efficient, due to the lack of theoretical calculations for each specific task. Therefore, the output of the internship could provide benefits and a positive impact on PT. Sari Mas Permai.
