Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of BI Rate, Purchasing Power Index (IDB), Domestic Investment (PMDN), and Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) on Per Capita Expenditure in East Java Province. Per capita expenditure was chosen as an indicator of public welfare, while the four independent variables represent monetary factors, purchasing power, investment, and employment. The research approach used is quantitative using secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and Bank Indonesia (BI). The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression method with the help of EViews software to estimate the partial and simultaneous effects of these variables. The results showed that: (X1) BI Rate has a significant effect on per capita expenditure; (2) Purchasing Power Index has a significant and positive effect; (3) Foreign Direct Investment has no effect; and (4) TPAK has no effect on Per Capita Expenditure. Simultaneously, the four variables have a significant effect on per capita expenditure. The findings of this study are expected to be taken into consideration for local governments in formulating effective economic policies to improve the welfare of the people of East Java.
