Abstract

The unsignalized intersection of St. Raya Sukodono-St. Imam Bonjol and the intersection of St. Raya Sukodono-St. Diponegoro Pekarungan, Sidoarjo Regency, plays a vital role in community activities and the economy. Both intersections are unsignalized intersections that are close to each other with a distance of approximately 105 meters and are filled with public facilities along the right and left of the road which often cause congestion during peak hours. Based on the problems that occur, an evaluation is needed to determine the capacity and performance of the intersection. The intersection performance analysis in this study uses PKJI 2023 and PTV VISSIM. The purpose of this study is to determine the performance of the intersection in its existing condition and 5-year plan. The results of the performance evaluation of the existing condition of the intersection of St. Raya Sukodono-St. Imam Bonjol have Dj of 0.72 in the morning and 0.73 in the afternoon with a service level of LOS_C. While the intersection of St. Raya Sukodono-St. Diponegoro Pekarungan has Dj of 0.75 in the morning and 0.76 in the afternoon with a service level of LOS_C. The results of the performance evaluation of the 5-year design life of the existing condition of the intersection of St. Raya Sukodono-St. Imam Bonjol have Dj of 0.91 in the morning and 0.92 in the afternoon with a service level of LOS_E. While the intersection of St. Raya Sukodono-St. Diponegoro Pekarungan has Dj of 0.96 in the morning and afternoon with a service level of LOS_E. From the results of the existing conditions of the 5-year plan, both intersections have a degree of saturation and a level of service that exceeds the feasibility limit, namely Dj<0.85 and LOS<LOS E, so they require repairs for the next 5 years according to PKJI 2023 and PTV VISSIM. The repairs used are widening the road and changing it to a 3-phase signalized intersection. The results of the performance evaluation of the repair of the St. Raya Sukodono-St. Imam Bonjol intersection have a Dj of 0.78 in the morning and 0.83 in the afternoon with a service level of LOS_D. While the St. Raya Sukodono-St. Diponegoro Pekarungan intersection has a Dj of 0.79 in the morning and 0.84 in the afternoon with a service level of LOS_D.
