Abstract
Potassium hydroxide is a strong base and belongs to the heavy chemical industry group. This compound is widely used in various industrial sectors, such as the manufacture of soap, batteries, fertilizers, and textiles. Furthermore, potassium hydroxide also acts as a pH regulator, stabilizer, and thickener in the food industry. The potassium hydroxide production process begins by dissolving 96.5% purity potassium chloride (KCl) using water from the utility unit to form a 15% KCl solution.
