Abstract

Kost Lucy is a boarding house business operating across three locations, where tenant data, reservations, and payment records are still managed manually. This approach slows down administrative activities and increases the possibility of errors in recording and tracking information. This study presents the design and development of a web-based boarding house management information system intended to simplify administrative processes and improve the organization of services provided to tenants. The Rapid Application Development (RAD) method was selected because it supports iterative development and allows user feedback to be incorporated throughout the design stages. The system was developed using ReactJS for the user interface, ExpressJS as the backend service, and Midtrans for digital payment integration. The development process included requirement identification, design workshops, and system implementation. The design phase involved the creation of use case diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, class diagrams, a database schema, and interface designs. The system was tested using the Black Box Testing method to verify its functional correctness. The results indicate that the system helps streamline reservation management, payment processing, and overall boarding house service administration, making them more structured and easier to oversee.
