Abstract
In the development of this construction project, various methods are used to calculate the volume of work items, one of which is the use of BIM-based (Building Information Modelling) applications. In the Ji’rona Building Construction Project, the need for fast and accurate calculations, cost projections, and structural work volume estimations is highly crucial. This can be easily achieved through the implementation of BIM. The purpose of this study is to implement the procedure for modeling pile cap structures using the BIM-based software Autodesk Revit to obtain quantities, and then compare them with the volumes listed in the Mutual Check 0 (MC-0) document. This research uses a quantitative approach that involves data quantification to compare the concrete and reinforcement quantity calculations for pile caps between Autodesk Revit and the MC-0 document. The pile cap modeling was carried out in Autodesk Revit by importing an AutoCAD floor plan as a reference for creating grids and levels, and by adjusting the pile cap family according to the shop drawings. The pile caps were modeled with main reinforcement of Ø25 mm, stirrups of Ø16 mm, and a concrete cover thickness of 100 mm in accordance with the technical specifications. Clash detection was performed using Navisworks Manage to analyze reasonable clashes or correct unreasonable clashes before re-evaluation. The results show that the total difference in concrete material quantity is 1.2 m³ with a deviation of 0.15%. The total difference in reinforcement quantity is 1,023.49 kg with a deviation of 0.89%. The total net concrete volume produced using Revit is 801.24 m³, while the net concrete volume in the MC-0 document is 802.31 m³. Therefore, the difference between MC-0 and Revit for concrete work is 1.07 m³. For both materials, the quantities obtained from the MC-0 data are greater than those calculated using Autodesk Revit.
