Abstract

Kremboong Sugar Factory in Sidoarjo produces its main product, White Crystal Sugar, using MBS sugarcane (Sweet, Clean, Fresh) as the primary raw material. The by-products generated include filter cake, molasses, and bagasse, which also serves as a by-product fuel for the factory’s power plant. The operating system at Kremboong Sugar Factory is divided into two types: batch and continuous operations. The milling station up to the finishing stage operates continuously, except for the vacuum pan station and the HGF (High Grade Fugal) centrifuge station for SHS sugar, which operate in batch mode. In addition, Kremboong Sugar Factory has its own research and development division responsible for conducting studies related to improving the quality of sugarcane to be processed.
