Abstract
The decline in the performance of the Independent Commercial Timber Business Unit of Perum Perhutani's East Java Regional Division is reflected in the decline in revenue realization accompanied by fluctuations in employee discipline with a monthly absenteeism rate. This problem indicates the need to evaluate the factors that influence employee performance, particularly discipline and work motivation as the main determinants of organizational productivity. This explanatory quantitative research used a population of 47 employees of KBM Commercial Kayu using a saturated sampling technique. Primary data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed via Google Forms, while secondary data consisted of performance and attendance documentation. Analysis used Partial Least Squares with Smart PLS to test the structural relationships between variables. Research findings indicate that work discipline contributes to improving employee performance, while work motivation demonstrates a stronger influence. Both variables are able to explain variations in employee performance, demonstrating substantial contributions to achieving organizational targets.
