Abstract
Since the fall of Muammar Gaddafi’s regime in 2011, Libya has experienced political and security instability, which has directly affected the position of women in the peacebuilding process. This study discusses the implementation of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) in Libya during the period of 2011–2025. The purpose of this research is to analyze the extent to which the Libyan government has implemented Resolution 1325 through programs involving international organizations, the Libyan government, and civil society. In conducting this analysis, the author uses a qualitative method by collecting data from reports of international institutions, official documents, books, journals, and international online news sources. The analysis focuses on the implementation of the WPS 1325 pillars in Libya by assessing the challenges, outcomes, and the involvement and roles of multiple stakeholders in the ongoing conflict in Libya. The findings show that the implementation of Resolution 1325 in Libya has achieved some progress, although the country still lacks a National Action Plan (NAP) and remains highly dependent on international organizations to carry out and realize its programs. This dependence has made the implementation of WPS 1325 less effective. **Keywords:** Resolution 1325, Participation, Protection, Prevention, Relief and Recovery, Libya.
