Abstract
The selection of heavy equipment has a significant impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of a project. In this study, a batching plant was chosen because readymix concrete is a sensitive component in the construction sector that can be optimized to save time and costs. This research aims to identify the stages of concrete production at a wetmix batching plant, determine the level of productivity achieved, compare the results with the company's standard productivity benchmarks, and analyze the factors influencing production activities during the observation period. The study employed direct measurement methods by observing the operator's tasks and recording the time taken. The research approach used is based on the time study method. The main focus of this study is the productivity of the wetmix type batching plant in producing readymix concrete. The analysis includes an evaluation of cycle time, production capacity, and a comparison between the actual productivity and the company’s established productivity standards. Based on observations conducted on May 5, 6, and 7, 2025, it was found that the concrete grades (Fc’25, Fc’29, and Fc’30) exceeded the standard productivity levels, achieving between 100.94% and 102.49%. However, for higher concrete grades (Fc’35, Fc’42) and Fc’30 with fly ash, productivity did not meet the standard, with percentages ranging from 94.06% to 98.56%.
