Abstract

This community service initiative aims to enhance residents’ awareness and skills in household waste management, focusing on used cooking oil, by providing training in aromatic candle production. The program was implemented in RW 03 Sambisari, Lontar Subdistrict, Surabaya, targeting members of the Kader Surabaya Hebat (KSH). Activities included education sessions, demonstrations, and hands-on practice. The results indicate that participants successfully transformed used cooking oil into eco-friendly and economically valuable aromatic candles, effectively reducing environmental pollution. The project promotes circular economy principles, women’s empowerment, and micro-enterprise opportunities, contributing to environmental sustainability and improved community welfare.
