Abstract
This study aims to analyze the risks of production, prices, and income along with the difference between semi-organic and inorganic shallot farming in Sukorejo Village, Rejoso District, Nganjuk Regency. This research was conducted in November – December 2024. The sample calculated using the Slovin formula from a population of 298 farmers, 75 farmers were obtained, then recalculated using Proportional Stratified Random Sampling and obtained as many as 15 semi organic farmers and 60 inorganic farmers. Data analysis methods used in this study are Analysis of Cost and Revenue, Analysis of Risk (Coefficient Variation), and Independent Sample T-test. The result of the study showed that the average production, prices, and income of semi organic shallot was 15.986 Kg/Ha, Rp. 11.097, and Rp. 106.559.833/Ha and inorganic shallot were 12.321 Kg/Ha, Rp. 10.726, and Rp. 74.443.365/Ha. The Coefficient Variation (CV) value obtained from the risk of production, price, and income of semi organic shallot was 0,250, 0,061, and 0,259 ≤ 0,5 and inorganic was 0,116, 0,023, and 0,225 ≤ 0,5, which means that all have a low risk. The causes of production, price, and income risks were extreme weather, pests and diseases, fluctuating selling price, and high farming cost. The t-count result obtained from the risk of production, price, and income between semi organic and inorganic shallot was 0,967, 0,620, dan 0,802 < t table 1,993 which means there was no significant difference. The reason for the absence of differences was because the land and irrigation weren’t differentiated between semi organic and inorganic, also the lack of awareness of farmers in pure organic farming.
