Abstract

Indonesia heavily relies on garlic imports due to insufficient domestic production to meet the continuously increasing domestic demand. Therefore, this research seeks solutions to increase production through the optimization of growth factors such as clove size and fertilizer dosage. The research was conducted in Pacet, Mojokerto, in 2024. The research method used a Split-Plot Design (SPD) with three replications. The factors studied were clove size (small, medium, large) and NPK fertilizer dosage (300, 400, 500 kg/ha). The results showed that medium clove size obtained the best plant height, while large cloves produced the highest number of leaves. A fertilizer dosage of 400 kg/ha obtained the best results for the number of cloves, bulb weight per plant, plot, and hectare. In conclusion, the combination of large clove size and a fertilizer dosage of 400 kg/ha is the best treatment for the growth and yield of garlic.
