Abstract

PT XYZ is a medical device manufacturer that focuses on the production of Orthopedic and Traumatology Implants. This company is capable of producing 32,197 products in 2024, in its production process PT XYZ often experiences defects in bone screw production. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the level of product defects, so that recommendations can be given to improve production quality. The methods used in this study are six sigma and TRIZ. Based on the results of data processing in the period January 2024 - December 2024, the average DPMO value can be seen to be 19,990.17 with an average sigma value of 3.55. The proposed improvements using the TRIZ method are to carry out calibration before the process starts, increase checking and maintenance of raw materials, update SOPs in the production process, conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the placement of work tasks on the production line, create a work assessment form to evaluate work, schedule regular machine maintenance.
