Abstract

The growing competition in the online transportation sector requires companies to pay greater attention to factors that influence the well-being and performance of their driver-partners. This study aims to analyze the effects of competence, workload, and incentives on job satisfaction, and their subsequent impact on partner performance within an online food delivery platform. The analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS software. Data were obtained through a questionnaire distributed to 120 qualified driver-partners. The results reveal that only workload has a significant effect on job satisfaction, while competence and incentives do not show any statistically significant influence. Moreover, none of the independent variables—including job satisfaction—were found to have a significant effect on partner performance. These findings suggest that in a flexible, algorithm-based work environment, individual attributes such as competence and satisfaction may not serve as the primary determinants of performance. Consequently, efforts to enhance driver-partner performance should emphasize systemic and structural improvements that align with the dynamics of contemporary digital work systems.
