Abstract

Shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) is a vegetable commodity with high economic value in terms of meeting national consumption needs, serving as a source of farmers’ income, and contributing to the country’s foreign exchange earnings. This study aimed to determine the optimal concentration of goat urine liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) and the plant growth regulator paclobutrazol that can optimize the growth and yield of shallot plants. The research was conducted as a factorial experiment arranged in a Split Plot Design (SPD), consisting of two factors and three replications. The main plots were: P0 = without goat urine POC (control), P1 = 100 ml/liter, P2 = 150 ml/liter, and P3 = 200 ml/liter. The subplots were: N0 = without paclobutrazol (control), N1 = 100 ppm, N2 = 250 ppm, and N3 = 300 ppm. The results showed an interaction between the combination of goat urine POC and paclobutrazol ZPT concentrations on the parameters of number of leaves and number of tillers. The single treatment of goat urine POC at a concentration of 100 ml/liter produced the best result in bulb diameter. Meanwhile, the single treatment without paclobutrazol application resulted in the greatest plant height in shallots.
