Abstract

This study aims to analyze the economic behavior of farm laborer households in Selorejo Village, Baureno District, Bojonegoro Regency. The focus includes the characteristics of laborers, allocation of working time, income and expenditure levels, as well as the dynamics of household economic behavior as a complex economic unit. This research employs a survey method with both quantitative and qualitative approaches involving 35 purposively selected farm labor households. The results show that farm laborers work seasonally with an average labor time allocation of 50.36 person-days (HOK) per month, consisting of 35.07 HOK for on-farm activities and 3.69 HOK for non-farm work. The main source of household income comes from agriculture, averaging Rp6,983,866 per month (97% of total income), while household expenditure reaches Rp3,311,920 per month, with 48% allocated to food consumption and 52% to non-food consumption. These findings indicate that farm labor households adopt adaptive economic strategies, such as job diversification and efficient expenditure management, to improve their economic resilience and family welfare.
