Abstract
The purpose of this study was to identify the properties of the ZSM-5 supporting iron (Fe) catalyst which was synthesized by various methods impregnation (IG). The catalyst powder obtained was characterized by basic analysis of Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). The FTIR characterization results showed that at an Fe concentration of 0.05 M with an impregnation time of 3 hours, the highest O-Si-O absorption peak was observed at a wavenumber of 1046.315 cm⁻¹. The SEM characterization results showed that at an Fe concentration of 0.05 M, the ZSM-5 phase formed was more abundant and well-ordered compared to that at an Fe concentration of 0.15 M, under the same stirring time.
