Abstract
Glutinous corn (Zea mays ceratina L.) is a unique corn variety with starch characteristics that have high economic value. Low nutrient content in the soil is one of the problems that affect the productivity of glutinous corn plants. Improving the fertilization system is an effort that can be done by balancing the use of chemical fertilizers and organic fertilizers in the plant cultivation system. This study aims to determine the best dose of liquid organic fertilizer and NPK 16-16-16 fertilizer with the aim of optimizing crop yields and increasing fertilization efficiency. This study used a factorial randomized block design (RAK) with two factors. The first factor is the dose of liquid organic fertilizer (C) with levels, control (Without POC), 2 ml/l, 4 ml/l, and 6 ml/l. The second factor is control (recommended dose of 4.5 g/plant), 2.25 g/plant, 3 g/plant, and 3.75 g/plant. The results showed that there was an interaction between the combination of liquid organic fertilizer and NPK 16-16-16 fertilizer treatments on the parameters of glutinous corn sugar content. The single treatment without the provision of liquid organic fertilizer (0 ml/l) actually produced the best results in terms of the highest weight of cobs without husks, namely 211.22 g. The single treatment of NPK 16-16-16 fertilizer produced the best results in terms of the length of glutinous corn plants at 14 and 42 HST and the sugar content of glutinous corn.
