Abstract

Soil investigation plays a very important role in the planning of substructure building. All aspects that can arise from soil data must be carefully considered. Especially if there is a dominance of soft soil or sandy soil. The dominance of sandy soil certainly affects the potential for liquefaction. Like this research area at the private airport owned by PT. Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMNT). Therefore, in this study, an analysis of liquefaction potential was conducted using data from the Standard Penetration Test (SPT) obtained from various borehole locations at the project site. This analysis not only considers standard geotechnical parameters such as the N-SPT (Standard Penetration Test) value but also incorporates information on groundwater table depth, earthquake history in the surrounding area, and soil grain characteristics to obtain an accurate picture of liquefaction potential. The liquefaction potential analysis for the Private Airport project in Poto Tano, Sumbawa Barat, shows that the Idriss – Boulanger method (2008) is more accurate (86% affected area) and complex compared to the Tokimatsu – Yoshimi method (1983) (78% affected area). As a result, the LPI (Liquefaction Potential Index) based on Idriss – Boulanger is categorized as having a "Very High" liquefaction potential (LPI > 20), whereas Tokimatsu – Yoshimi is categorized as "Relatively High" (LPI > 5).
