Abstract
Gresik Regency is one of the economic support areas of East Java Province which is experiencing development in both industrialization and urbanization. With the developments that have occurred in the Gresik district area, problems have arisen in terms of traffic, one of which is traffic density which causes an increase in temperature on the road. As the temperature on the road increases, it can impact driving safety and comfort. The research was conducted on Jalan Raya Dandeles, which is one of the arterial roads connecting Gresik Regency with other areas on the north coast to determine the effect of density levels on road surface temperatures. This study uses temperature clustering using the K-Means method which validates the thermal index on Landsat-8 satellite imagery. Field data survey conducted on February 26, 2024 - March 1, 2024 obtained the results of the highest vehicle density in segment 1 towards Lamongan on Friday at 16.00 - 17.00 WIB of 52.24 Smp/Km and the lowest density was in segment 4 towards Lamongan with the highest density on Friday at 08.00 - 09.00 WIB of 10.59 Smp/Km. The temperature obtained through a field survey found that the highest temperature was at point 16 on Friday at 12.00 – 13.00 at 63.04 °C and the lowest was at point 8 on Wednesday at 08.00 – 09.00 at 30.45 °C. From the one way unova test process, it shows that the calculated F value is 257.308> F table = 4.098 and the P-value = 0.00 <α = 0.05, then H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. This means that there is a significant difference between the Temperature variable data (°C) at each Segment Density. From the K-Means method that has been carried out, it can be concluded that cluster 1 contains 2 points with the highest temperature points, cluster 2 contains 3 points with temperature points that are neither high nor low, cluster 3 contains 15 points with temperature points that are predominantly low when compared to cluster 1 and cluster 2.
