Abstract

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is one of the hormonal disorders that typically affect productive women. Globally, PCOS prevalence is between 6-13%, according to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), and it is diagnosed in those who are reproductive. In Indonesia, according to data from the Himpunan Endokrinologi Reproduksi dan Fertilitas Indonesia (HIFERI) as of September 2024, about 45.7% of women diagnosed with PCOS are between the ages of 26-30. There is a lack of information about PCOS in the general public, especially in social media, according to this study. Around 79.5% of respondents said they would like to know more about PCOS, and 68.8% said they thought the information available was somewhat inadequate. There is an educational program based on social campaign that is structured and focused toward increasing women's awareness of PCOS symptoms. This campaign is based on visual communication methods that use visual elements to convey information in a clear, structured, and easy-to-understand form for the intended audience. Campaign research is conducted by utilizing a quantitative approach to gauge public awareness of PCOS and a qualitative approach based on desk research to present the obtained data. In addition, fishbone analysis is used to identify the causes of existing problems. Based on the results, the keyword "Cegah PCOS dan Edukasi Reproduksi" can be used as a guide in the process of designing this PCOS prevention campaign. The primary goal of this PCOS education campaign is to increase public awareness, particularly among Indonesian women, about this hormonal symptoms. In addition, the goal of this campaign is to prevent the prevalence of PCOS in Indonesia from rising further. Keywords: PCOS; Campaign; Reproductive Education; Reproduction Health; Woman
