Abstract
The leakage of personal data on the internet has become a significant global issue, particularly among young individuals aged 19-24, who often have a low awareness of personal data protection. This phenomenon is exacerbated by the increasing number of data breaches in Indonesia, which have widespread societal impacts. This situation necessitates effective educational efforts to enhance young people's understanding of the importance of safeguarding personal data in the digital world. This project employs data collection methods, including interviews with experts, questionnaires targeting the audience, and analysis of illustrations and scripts. The collected data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively to gain insights into the audience's needs. The conceptual approach was developed using the TOWS Matrix strategy, and the 5W1H method was employed to ensure that the animated video effectively conveys its message. The involvement of KOMINFO East Java as the main stakeholder strengthened the validity of the data utilized. The analysis results indicate that animated media effectively delivers complex information in an engaging and straightforward manner. The concept for the five-minute video was designed with a consistent visual style and language relevant to the target audience. The video structure comprises an introduction, five main content sections, and a conclusion that integrates information about the definition, types, risks, and prevention measures of personal data breaches. This animated video aims to raise awareness among individuals aged 19-24 about the importance of personal data protection and serve as a reference for others interested in conducting similar educational initiatives. Through an engaging and educational medium, this project aspires to contribute positively to fostering a culture of data awareness in the digital era.
