Abstract

Postponement of Value Added Tax (VAT) payment is one of the policies that can provide convenience for companies that often import goods from abroad. Generally, when importing, companies are required to pay purchase tax in advance, which can increase operational costs and decrease cash flow. With the VAT payment postponement policy, companies can postpone this tax payment until a specified time, which will ultimately reduce the financial burden and increase flexibility in cash flow management. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the VAT payment postponement policy in the Odoo 16 Invoicing module using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The RAD method was chosen because of its ability to accelerate the system development process by focusing on rapid iteration and prototyping, which allows for rapid adjustment to user needs and regulatory changes. In this study, the business process of a company that imports goods will be modeled using the Odoo 16 invoicing module, and the VAT payment postponement feature will be implemented and tested. The results of this study are expected to provide a clear picture of how the VAT payment deferral policy can be effectively integrated into an Odoo 16-based corporate information system. In addition, this study will also evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the RAD method in developing and implementing this feature, as well as its impact on improving the company's operational performance. Thus, this study contributes to the development of information technology solutions that support fiscal policy and strengthen the company's competitiveness in the global market.
