Abstract
Japfa Comfeed Indonesia-Buduran Unit Company is an industry engaged in manufacturing with production results in the form of animal feed. In its production process, the company uses raw materials stored in a warehouse. One type of raw material that is widely used for animal feed production is the premix type located in warehouse 1. The large number of raw material needs makes warehousing activities increasingly complex. The complexity of warehousing activities causes the warehouse to often experience waste with a total time exceeding the company's standard of 420 minutes. This waste can reduce the effectiveness and efficiency of the warehousing flow process. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine what waste occurs in the premix type of animal feed raw material warehouse using the lean warehousing method and to provide suggestions for improvement with Plan, Do, Check, Action (PDCA) and Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke (5S). Analysis carried out using the lean warehousing method is important to determine the category of activities and the time of warehousing flow can be known through value stream mapping both before and after the improvement proposal is given. From the analysis conducted, it was found that as many as 52 warehouse flow activities with an activity time of 556 minutes decreased to 39 activities with a total time of 304 minutes after the proposed improvements were given to the warehouse flow process activities
