Abstract

Poverty is a critical problem because it affects the quality of human existence. Efforts to overcome poverty are carried out so that people can live better. The aim of this study is expected to examine the influence of population, gross regional domestic product (GRDP), and unemployment on poverty levels in Sidoarjo Regency in 2009-2023. Secondary data in the form of time series data was obtained from the Sidoarjo Regency Central Statistics Agency for use in this research. Quantitative methods were used in this research with multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS 26 windows using the R-Square Test (R2), Simultaneous Test (F Test), Individual Test (t Test). The results of the research conducted show that population, GDP and unemployment jointly influence poverty in Sidoarjo Regency. Meanwhile, partially the population is not significant to poverty in Sidoarjo Regency. GRDP has a negative and significant effect on poverty in Sidoarjo Regency. Unemployment is not significant to poverty in Sidoarjo Regency. Keywords: Population, GRDP, Unemployment, Poverty
