Abstract
Bitter melon (Momordica charantia L.) is a horticultural commodity in the vegetable category which has high economic value. Bitter melon production can be increased in several ways, namely providing rabbit urine and manure. This research aims to determine the impact of applying rabbit urine and manure on the growth and yield of bitter melon plants. The research was conducted in Panjerejo Village, Ngunut District, Tulungagung Regency. This research was conducted using the Split Plot method with two treatment and control factors. The treatment used was giving various concentrations of rabbit urine as the main plot and various types of manure as sub plot. Rabbit urine concentration consists of four levels, namely: U0= 0 ml/l, U1= 10 ml/l, U2= 20 ml/l, and U3= 30 ml/l. There are three levels of manure, namely: K1= chicken manure, K2= cow manure, and K3= bat manure. Meanwhile, the control used in this research was the provision of NPK fertilizer as a comparison. The results showed that the combination of a rabbit urine concentration of 20 ml/l and cow manure increased the number of flowers. Treatments with a rabbit urine concentration of 20 ml/l and cow manure each also showed an increase and give significant effect in several parameters. Keywords : bitter melon, rabbit urine, manure
