Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the influence of Population, Human Development Index (HDI), and Minimum Wage on Poverty Levels between districts/cities in East Java from 2013 to 2022. This research uses secondary data by combining time series data with cross data section using data from 7 districts representing each Bakorwil in East Java, with regional selection based on the average high level of poverty over a 10 year period. The data used was taken from the official website of the East Java Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The data obtained was then analyzed using panel data regression, by carrying out the Classic Assumption Test, Coefficient of Determination Test (R² Test), Simultaneous Test (F Test), and Partial Test (T Test), using the Random Effect regression model. From this test, the results showed that Population, Human Development Index (HDI), and Minimum Wage simultaneously influence the Poverty Level in East Java. Meanwhile, partially the population and the Human Development Index (HDI) have a negative and significant effect on the poverty level. Meanwhile, the Minimum Wage has a positive and significant effect on the Poverty Level in East Java.
