Abstract
High unemployment in Indonesia, particularly in Pamekasan Regency, signifies income inequality and the unresolved issue of economic development. The research aims to determine the influence of Education Level, Number of Islamic Boarding Schools (Pesantren), Economic Growth, and Population Growth on the Open Unemployment Rate in Pamekasan Regency. The analysis method employed is descriptive quantitative analysis using a multiple linear regression model based on secondary data sourced from BPS (Central Bureau of Statistics). The author utilized the SPSS 25 application as a tool for analysis. The research findings indicate that the Number of Islamic Boarding Schools and Economic Growth have a significant negative impact, while Population Growth also has a significant negative effect. However, the Education Level does not have a significant influence.
