Abstract
Football has now become the most popular sport in the world, with fans spread across all corners of the globe. Due to its popularity, football has transformed into an industry with immense economic potential for cities and countries, especially in Malang, where there is a high level of enthusiasm and numerous national and international football events throughout the year. Arema FC, commonly known as "Singo Edan," is one of the football clubs in Malang with a strong fan base and a rich history, as well as a cultural identity deeply embedded in the local community. However, the lack of an international-standard stadium in Malang, coupled with the fact that Arema FC still does not have its own stadium, certainly hampers the community’s economic and entertainment prospects. Therefore, a stadium is needed to meet the demand for football, with a design that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, and which can serve as a representation of Malang City and Arema F.C. The design of the Malang Football Stadium adopts the theme "Symbolic Stadium Rhythm." This theme is based on an analysis of facts, issues, and design objectives. To develop this design concept, parametric architecture is employed as the architectural approach to realize a dynamic and responsive theme. The design method applied to the project is a tangible metaphor to shape the form of the building. This method aims to implement the theme in the design of the Malang Football Stadium by presenting a harmonious design with an orderly structure.
